We start this week’s round up on Tuesday 19th February, with Barnehurst and The Oddfellows Arms facing each other in midweek league action. Joe Ellis, Richie Hamill and Eddie Rowland were on target as The Oddfellows secured a 3-2 win. Steve Williams and Chris Johnson were on target for Barnehurst.

More midweek league action on Thursday 21st February saw FC Royals playing catch up with their fixtures against SEL running out 8-0 winners thanks to goals from Joshua Flower (2), Tyrone Headley (2), Douane West (2), Dean Carpenter and Jerel Morris.

Back to our proper day of football and Sunday 24th February in the Presidents Cup congratulations to Jam as they make it to the final courtesy of a 2-1 win over Sabanoh 97. Michael Soile and Reion McFarlane the heroes on the scoresheet. No easy task in the final as either Welling Town A or Barnehurst are waiting.

In the Dewar Shield a huge shock as Senior Division Under the Radar took on league leaders Welling Town A in the Quarter Final. Manny Brown and Thomas Ngegba scoring to secure a shock 2-1 win for Under the Radar, which now guarantees a Senior Division side in the Final as Turk Ocagi Limasol Russellers are waiting in the Semi Finals. Sam Bailey was the scorer for Welling Town A.

In the Plumstead Challenge Cup Baldon Sports of the London & Kent Suburban League progress to the Quarter Finals after needing penalties to overcome Turk Ocagi Limasol Russellers after a 3-3 extra time draw. Russellers are waiting in the Quarters. Belmont Athletic of the Metropolitan Sunday League ended their involvement in this years competition after a 6-0 drubbing by holders Bayswater RK, Tunde Aderonmu, Edi Borges, Jamie Groves, Robin McMahon, Ryan Styles and Anthony Putrus-Schnell with the goals. Long Lane now wait in the Quarter Final.

In the Leader Trophy Quarter Final, another defeat for Eltham Lions, as Orpington Eagles Reserves progress 4-2 thanks to goals from Gary Pryde, Ross Smith, Lee Thraves and David Jones. Daniel Earley and Ryan Norris were on target for Lions. Peckham Rye wait in the Semi Final.

In the Bert Holloway Cup FC Forza Greenwich set up a Quarter Final tie against AFC Kingfisher thanks to three late strikes against Woolwich Royals secured a 3-0 win. Michael Cleary scored twice and Aaron Escudier once.

In the Fred Jolly Memorial Cup, eight goals in both ties that were played, Burrage Blues scoring all of them against Erith Athletic thanks to a hat-trick from Daniel Phillips, and two a piece from Daniel Power and Joel Weston. In the other tie Springhill United scored five of the eight against Long Lane thanks to a brace from Luke Miller, plus Ashley Care, Aaron Miller & Marcus Neilson strikes. Burrage Blues travel to Beacons in the Quarter Final while Springhill travel to Woolwich Spartans. Footscray Lions also progress after Baldon Sports Reserves withdrew.

One game in the Amalgamated Lifts Limited Premier Division saw Barnehurst and Woolwich 90 draw 2-2. Giorgio Fullone and Steve Gillett, while Tremaine Brown scored twice for Woolwich.

In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, Orpington Eagles beat Catford Wanderers by the odd goal in nine. MItchell Row scored twice, along with strikes from Josef Clarke, Liam Clubb-Cannon and Shaun Egan. Issac Beckford bagged a hat-trick for Catford but it wasn’t to be. Ashley McLean-Elliott was also on target. Chris Rostek bagged a hat-trick as South East Athletic Maroon securing a long overdue win,, 4-3 against Blackfen United. Daniel Bannell scored twice for Blackfen and Jamie Jeffrey once but it wasn’t enough.

In the Danson Property Services Division One, a hattrick from Esmail El-Khabaz helped Mottingham Park Rangers to a 4-0 win over SEL. David Ricketts with the fourth. Ben Malyon hit another hattrick as Junior Reds Athletic recorded a 6-2 win over FC Plasma. James Beasley, Joe Marriott and Jack Whelan also on target. Two goals from James Purkiss saw Bostall Rangers upset the division leaders Welling Town 3-2. Ben Blackmun was also on target. Frederick Agyemang scored both of Welling Town’s goals. Woolwich Spartans and Phoenix Knights played out that rarest of Sunday league results 0-0.

In the ABA Technical Division Two, James Fafiyebi scored a hattrick as Abbeymead recorded a 7-1 win over Danson Albion. Karlton Lynch also scored twice, with Joshua Dunham and Sam Winter also on target. Greenwich Park Rangers secured a 4-1 win over Advent Royals thanks to goals from Charlie Gaish (2), Connor O’Sullivan-Church and Martin Yates. Lawrence Boamah was on target for Advent. Omar El-Mantawy scored twice and Ryan Green once as Bexley Wanderers beat Bexley Athletic 3-1 in the Bexley derby. Taylor Lewis scored twice but it wasn’t enough as Beacons slipped to a 3-2 defeat against Russellers who had Ashley Kempster, Dane Pearce and Luke Mercer on target.

In the Summerhill Music Division Three, a hat-trick from Boluwatife Ogunbona helped Springhill United Reserves to a 5-1 win over AFC Sporting Greenwich. Jack Slaughter and George Jackson-Townshend also on target. Jordan Hector scored twice as Lessa FXI secured a 4-1 win over Seven Acre, Hasan Gunduz and Thomas Podciborski with the other goals. Saving one of the best results to last Vanbrugh proved to be AFC Kingfisher’s kryptonite completing the double over them with a second 1-0 win thanks to a Darren Nelson goal.
