In the Amalgamated Lifts Premier Division, Welling Town A got off to a winning start in the league to follow up their Pat Tansley Cup win by sending The Oddfellows Arms crashing back down to earth with a large bump after their Promotion & Cup winning season last season. A hat-trick from Taylor Robinson plus goals from Jordan McTigue (2), Danny Russell & Sam Bailey helped secure a 7-3 win. Richie Hamill (2) and Joe Ellis were the scorers for the Oddfellows. Newcomers Barnehurst also hit 7 Craig Cook, Steve Gillett, Ross McCall, Ben Short, Steve Williams & Chris Johnson all on target in a 7-2 win over St Michaels. In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, Springhill United fired a warning shot across the bows of their rivals, as they are clearly upset with their relegation, and they took it out on poor Abbey Wood in a 14-0 demolition. Patrick Ward hit 5, while Ashley Care hit a brace with Danny Parmenter, Patrick Haverty, Aaron Miller, Marcus Neilson, Danny Shaw and Danny Wright all also on target. Bayswater RK also hit double figures in a crazy game against South East Athletic Maroon. Relegated Orpington Eagles faced newcomers Erith Athletic as they tried to put last season's woes behind them, but despite some lovely football, they couldn't cope with the more direct approach from Erith Athletic. Add in a horrific injury to Teddy Bignall which caused a 60 minute stoppage in the first half plus a red card in the second half for Shaun Egan, it was a bad day all round for the Eagles. 6-1 the final score as Josh Pavey, Stephen Ratcliffe, Gareth Standley and Dale Woodruff were all on target for Erith. James Leahy getting the consolation for the home side. At Long Lane, a solitary Grant Duff goal gave the home side the points over Turk Ocagi Bermondsey.
