Week 33 - Sunday 22 April 2018

So the baking hot day when half the country decides to run around London, so a few less games than normal and no cup finals. Two Cup Semi Finals though, so we start in the Plumstead Challenge Cup, where we were guaranteed a Danson Property Services Division One side into the Plumstead Challenge Cup. Bayswater RK fresh from their penalties win in the Alliance Cup Final the week before, secured their second final spot with a 2-0 win over Abbey Wood. Jack Holland & Ermal Nurja with the goals.

In the Bert Holloway Trophy, Division Two Junior Reds Athletic made it past Senior Division Woolwich Spartans in a major shock 4-1 to progress to the final. Two goals a piece from Ben Malyon and Michael Rapheal sealed the deal. Luke Newman with the consolation.

Into the Amalgamated Lifts Limited Premier Division, and Eltham Phoenix B cemented their place at the top of the tree with a 3-1 win over Sabanoh 97. Elliot Usher, TJ Jaiyeola and Jordan McTigue on target for Phoenix. Second and Third lost ground as they faced each other with Footscray Lions and Long Lane B playing out a 1-1 draw. Gary Ling on target for Lions, while an own goal gave Long Lane a point. Woolwich 90 are comfortably mid-table after a 2-1 win over St Michaels. Danny Edwards and James Noel on target for Woolwich while Billy Skinner grabbed a goal for St Michaels. Club Santacruzense failed to field a side against Jam so the points go Jam's way.

In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, The Oddfellows Arms go top with a romping 7-0 win over Phoenix Knights. No goal scorer information available.  Elsewhere Bostall Old Boys and Turk Ocagi Limasol Russellers played out a 1-1 draw with Jerry Riley and Ben Lovell on target for their respective sides.

In the Danson Property Services Division One, Welling Town went goal mad against Junior Reds Spartans, hitting 8 past them. Joshua Cooper, Russell Hodges and Daniel Tsangarides all scored twice, with Jourdan Copeland and Joe Drake also on target in their 8-1 win.

In the ABA Technical Division Two, goals galore as leaders FC Plasma went down 5-4 to Advent Royals. A hat-trick from Papaa Owusu plus goals from Enoch Charway and Kweku Darlington sending the points to the Hornfair Park side. Aaron Feagan (2), James Bell and Joe Perry were on target for Plasma. This gave Mottingham Park Rangers a chance to close the gap and they duly obliged. Stuart Jordeson, Charlie Richmond and Esmail El Khabaz all on target in a 3-2 win over Bexley Athletic which closes the gap between the top two to 2 points.

In the Summerhill Music Division Three, AFC Kingfisher leapfrog Eltham Lions after a 3-0 win over Mottingham Forest thanks to goals from Dominik Smereczynski (2) and David Scott. Eltham Lions drop a place after going down 2-0 to Heath thanks to Aaron Anthony and Conor Kennedy goals. In the days other game Vanbrugh came away from Baldon Reserves with a win and all the points.
