So while many of us were over indulging in Chocolate, some hearty souls were taking up the option of getting a game in. But first….some midweek action!
On Tuesday 16th April, FC Royals continued their catch-up as they played Woolwich Spartans. Goals from Micah Banton, Tyrone Headley, Daniel Doyle and Donovan James secured a 4-1 win for Royals as they went 3 points clear at the top of the Danson Property Services Division One. Adam Roberts with the consolation for Spartans.
Now, back to Easter Sunday and in the Amalgamated Lifts Limited Premier Division, Barnehurst moved up to 3rd spot with a 5-3 win over Burrage Blues. Taylor Jack bagged a hat-trick, with Chris Johnson and Craig Cook also on target for Barnehurst. No details on Full Time for Burrage who are 7th.
In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, Thomas Ngegba was the leader for leaders Under The Radar with 4 goals in a 6-3 win over Turk Ocagi Limasol Russellers. Caine Kelly and Michael Adewale were also on target for UTR, while Jason Thanni, Nathan Cross and Taylor-Jay Heyward were on target for TOL.
In the Danson Property Services Division One, SEL failed to field a side against FC Royals after agreeing to play, to the points go to the Royals.
In the ABA Technical Division Two, Russellers closed the gap on leaders Abbeymead with a 6-1 win over Bexley Wanderers. Craig Newell and Bradley Shepherd both scored twice, while Ashley Kempster and Luke Mercer were also on target for Russellers. Omar El Mantawy scored the only goal for Bexley. Goals galore at Footscray Rugby Club as Beacons secure a 5-4 win over Danson Albion and in turn send Woolwich Royals back to the foot of the table. Taylor Lewis led the way with a hat-trick for Beacons, with Khyle Haines and John Rowley also on target. Thomas Cunnion, Charlie Edwards, James Horan and Billy Standen were all on target for Danson but it wasn’t to be.
