David Noel was the hero as Sabanoh 97 overcame the disappointment of their Dewar Shield defeat last week to lift the Presidents Cup for the second time. Noel swept Sabanoh 97 into a 6th minute lead over Jam after a swift attack down the right wing. Jam were level by half time after a confusion in the Sabanoh box lead to a clearance rebounding of their own player into the back of the net. 1-1 half time.
A fast and fiery encounter changed midway through the second half as Michael Soile made a late high challenge on one of his opponents, and referee Notis Liappis brandished the red card to reduce Jam to 10 men. This seemed to spur on Jam as the next few attacks they went close, even hitting the bar and the post direct from a corner but Sabanoh 97 weathered the storm and a moment of pure magic from David Noel saw them take the lead, rifling home from 25 yards to put Sabanoh 2-1 up and with time ticking down, the tricky Rashid Kamara wriggled his way into the box to make it 3 and break Jam hearts in front of the 100 crowd.
