Week 31 Update - Sunday 2 April 2017

Two Semi-Finals took Centre Stage this week and the shock of the week was Jam securing their place in the President's Cup Final against Sabanoh 97 with a 2-1 win over Club Santcruzense De Londres. Michael Soile & Myles Alexander were the heroes to send Jam to Welling United on 7th May. Sergiomar Da Silva's strike was not enough for the Dewar Shield finalists.

In the Alliance Cup, total thrills and value for money as New London make it to the final with a thrilling 5-4 penalties victory over Old Roan Red Lions. Danny Lawson, George Stuart and Tom Taylor were on target for Old Roan, while Jason Hammett bagged two goal and Tyson Holmes-Lewis one, one of which was a 90th minute equaliser to make the tie level after 120 minutes at 3-3. New London held their nerve and go on to face Woodside Celtic on the Final at Welling United on the 14th May at 1030.

Another all London & Kent Suburban League affair in the Plumstead Challenge Cup Quarter Final as the top two in the Steven Adamson Premier Division faced each other. Goals galore but it is the LKSL League leaders who progress to the Semi Final on Sunday at Division One Abbey Wood courtesy of a 5-2 win. St Michaels can look back on a cup run with pride as they saw off the WESFA league leaders on the way to the Quarters.

In the Amalgamated Lifts Limited Premier Division, Long Lane cemented 2nd spot for the time being with a 3-1 win at Footscray Lions who sit 4th. Joe Borland, Michael O'Kane and Johnny Wright on target for Long Lane. At the top of the table Sabanoh 97 are now 9 points clear with one game to play, however Long Lane have 3 games in hand, and Club Santacruzense have 5 games in hand. It's gonna go all the way! Wilson Brown helped himself to two goals, while Bankole Koroma and Elijah Kargbo were also on target in their 4-1 win at Springhill United.

In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, Woolwich 90 were held in a game and a half at Meridian Sports. 5-5 the final score against Bostall Old Boys, meaning Woolwich 90 drop to second spot. Danny Edwards scored twice but saw red before a hat trick chance, with Chisa Mkala and Henry Okeke also on target for Woolwich 90, for Bostall, Gary Carr, Peter Tyrrell, Terry Tyrrell with two goals from Adam Williams as well, with Brian Williams seeing red for Bostall. Phoenix Knights took full advantage of Woolwich dropping points to go top after a 3-1 win over Eltham Phoenix, Jack Cox, Adam Ralph and Andrew Ridgers all on target. In 3rd on goal difference are Cutty Sark (Thamesmead) after a 4-2 win over Maroon XI. Michael Bright scoring twice with Russell Field and Bradley Winzar also on target. Woolwich Spartans move into 4th after a 4-1 win at Junior Reds Spartans. Nick D'Cruze, Jack Oliver, and two from Adam Roberts the scorers for Woolwich Spartans. At the wring end of the table Plumstead AFC are looking to finish off the bottom, andgoal from Diego Claro helped them to a 2-1 win over Danson Albion to move them just one point away from 2nd bottom Junior Reds Spartans with 2 games in hand.

In Division One, Woodside Celtic sent a message to the rest of the division with a thumping 9-1 win over Baldon Sports. James Tester and Jon O'Mara both hit braces, while Bradley Killick, Lee Turner, Simon Whyte and Dennis Williams were also on target. A Darren Shortall goal was enough to give Abbey Wood all 3 points and deny Teviot Rangers third sport.

In Division Two just the one game, and Bayswater RK close the gap on Kent Wanderers with a 3-0 win over Sutcliffe Rangers. Joseph Grant-Hines, Bradley Johnson and Kyle Thomson all on target.

In the Bert Holloway Cup, its all square in the East Group with every side played one and lost one! Bexley Athletic are currently top on goals scored after a 6-3 win over FC Plasma, Elton Lewis and Renell George both scoring twice, with Bryan Wong also on target for Bexley while Steven Armstrong hit two for Plasma but it wasn't to be. Just behind them are Eltham SF who fell to a 3-2 defeat at Mottingham Park Rangers. Stuart Jordeson scored twice and Lois Reven for the Supreme Engraving Fair Play Finalists.

In the Leader Trophy South Group, Woolwich Royals are the table toppers after a 5-3 win over Vanbrugh, Jorge Orrin with a hat-trick and Yavor Hristov two. Lessa FXI are 3rd after a 3-2 win over Springhill United Reserves thanks to goals from Gary McKenna and Balazs Szucs. The West Group sees Mottingham Forest clear at the top after a 5-1 win over Meridian Sports. James Moore bagged a hat-trick, with Corey Lye and Jake Scott also on target. Lewis Donnelly with the consolation for Meridian. AFC Kingfisher are 3 points behind after a 2-1 win at Borussia Heath 15 thanks to goals from Ryan Mitchinson and Matt Tully.

Big games this week are the Supreme Engraving Fair Play Final 1030 at Welling United admission (between Mottingham Park Rangers and Vanbrugh) admission £4 on the gate.
