Week 33 Update - Sunday 16 April

Happy Easter everyone!

A very brief update this week, as fixtures were voluntary, so just 6 teams with 3 referees out on the pitches this morning while everyone else was at home with their families enjoying lots of chocolate.

Starting in the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, a shock at the top as Woolwich 90 travelled to Eltham Phoenix who in recent weeks have been inconsistent to say the least, but they stepped up today and Woolwich 90 suffered their first league defeat since the first week of their season. Darren Moorcroft scoring the only goal.

In Division Two, the title race is over and congratulations to Kent Wanderers on securing the title without actually playing. Bayswater RK travelled to Springhill United Reserves and a superb Danny Shaw goal complimented an excellent rearguard action to secure all three points for the home side.

In the Leader Trophy a David Scott penalty was enough to send AFC Kingfisher 6 points clear at the top of the West Group with a 1-0 win over Borussia Heath 15.

That's it for the week!

Some midweek action this week, on Wednesday Springhill United host Club Santacruzense de Londres at Meridian Sports with a 7:45 kick off, so if you are at a loose end, pop down and give the teams some support. Entrance Free.
