The other London Cup game which sees Footscray Lions Under 21 of the Selkent League take on Danson Albion was postponed for reasons only known to the sides. They try again next week.
Another first round shock in the Dewar Shield as Springhill United of the Premier Division are dumped out on penalties by Senior Division New London. Daniel Prior, Danny Shaw and Patrick Ward were on target for Springhill in the 120 minutes, while Jason Hammett scored twice with thee other from Daniel Lange to take the game to penalties. New London now travel to 3rd division Lessa FXI in round 2. More routine for Premier Division Woolwich 90 who disposed of Seniro Division Phoenix Knights 4-0. Danny Edwards scored twice, Joe Baker and Renato Marinalli also scoring to set up a second round tie at either Danson Albion or Baldon Sports Reserves.
In the Win Jones Memorial Bowl, Turk Ocagi Limassol Russellers progress thanks to a 3-2 win over Woolwich Spartans, Adam Roberts and Al Ameen Amodu on target for Spartans, but goals from Hamid Bangura (2) and N'diri N'dili sending TOL through to face Hornfair Athletic in the next round.
In the Amalgamated Lifts Limited Premier Division, Daniel Tarrant was the star man with 4 goals for St Michaels as they recorded a superb 5-2 win at Long Lane B. Stacie Butcher scored the 5th, while Jesse Thackham and Jack Carthy were on target for Long Lane. Also winning away were Footscray Lions, 4-3 at Jam, Ben Williams getting a brace with Gary Fowler and John Healy also on target. Myles Alexander, with Michael and Emmanuel Soile on target for Jam. At Glebe a top of the table clash saw Eltham Phoenix B host Orpington Eagles, and the two couldn't be separated. 2-2 the final score with a Danny Russell double for Phoenix, with Nathan Hunter and Michael McGuire on target for Eagles.
In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division, two thrashings to report which is never good, but first Woodside Celtic beat Cutty Sark (Thamesmead) 10-0 in a real shock of a result. Hat-tricks from Bradley Killick and Joseph Bardwell helping them on the way, while at Meridian Hornfair Athletic also hit 10 against Bostall Old Boys in a 10-3 win. Four goals from Laurent Mendy plus a hat-trick from Sam Bailey seeing Hornfair run riot.
In the Danson Property Services Division One, Teviot Rangers were the biggest winners with a 3-0 win at Welling Town, Owen Jeavons with a brace and Matthew Bell the scorers. Goals from Ryan Styles, Kyle Thomson and Joey White saw Bayswater RK overcome Kent Wanderers 3-1, while Abbey Wodd secured a 2-0 win against Long Lane A thanks to goals from Chris Hart and Lee Lower.
In the ABA Technical Division Two, Leigh Ives hit 4 for FC Plasma as they dispose of Mottingham Park Rangers 6-2, Ben Malyon also hit 4 for Junior Reds Athletic as they beat Advent Royals 7-3, Michael Eshun scoring a hat-trick for Advent. New boys Thamesmead are off the mark as they beat Springhill United Reserves 2-1 thanks to goals from Rickie Martin and Zac Lendore, meanwhile Bexley Athletic and Baldon Sports shared the spoils 1-1. George Davis on target for Baldon while Renell George rescued a point for Bexley with an 87th minute equaliser.
In the Summerhill Music third Division, goals galore at Meridian as they overcame Mottingham Forest 6-5. Lee Gould with a hat-trick for Meridian, while Corey Lye equalled the achivement for Mottingham Forest. Also hitting 6 were Heath FC who secured a 6-3 win at Baldon Sports Reserves, more hat-tricks in this game, one for Heath's Anthony King and one for Baldon's Ben Cotter. AFC Kingfisher managed 5 goals in their game in a 5-1 win over Lessa FXI, Will Stent, Luke Webb, David Scott, Dominik Smereczynski and Patryk Smereczynski scoring for Kingfisher. Woolwich Royals and Eltham Lions shared 4 goals and the points in a 2-2 draw with Yavor Hristov and Nimet Haxiu both on target for Royals and Sam Browning and Dominic Giles for Eltham Lions. James Fafiyebi was on target as Abbeymead drew 1-1 at Vanbrugh.
