One word this weekend......ICE!
The weekend's fixture list was totally decimated, with just 5 matches surviving.
In the Amalgamated Lifts Ltd Premier Division, Welling Town Woolwich leapt up to 4th spot with an emphatic 11-2 win over bottom side New Life United with goals from Joseph Tamlyn (3), James Golding (2), Lemarl Hubbard (2), Ricky Hepburn, Mustafa Karababa, William Muckle and Ryan Robinson while a Patrick Ward goal secured all 3 points for Springhill United at Turk Ocagi Limassol Russellers.
In the Supreme Engraving Senior Division a little foresight from Maroon, saw their game against Eltham SF moved from grass to 3G with a 1pm kick off late in the week, and it was Eltham SF who came out winners thanks to 2 goals from Charlie Gaish and one from Toby Brown. Chris Rostek hit a double for Maroon XI.
Nothing survived the big freeze in Division One, while just two survived in Division 2 with a hat-trick from David Scott securing a 3-1 win for AFC Kingfisher against Borussia Heath 15. Kingfisher remain in the bottom 2, but have closed the gap on today's opponents in 8th spot to just 3 points. Just above them Springhill United Reserves hosted Vanbrugh on the 3G at Meridian in a 1230 kick off with 4 goals and the points being shared. William Tansley and Charlie Troke on target for Springhill while Rhys Patterson and Luke Street hit the goals for Vanbrugh.
