Plumstead Challenge Cup

The Plumstead Challenge Cup was first played for in 1931. This is an old Woolwich & District League trophy. The competition itself is open to any affiliated Sunday League team at a cost of £20. The competition is managed by the WESFA Management Committee and takes second place to the County Cup matches only with regards to fixtures dates. Teams that are currently recognised by the FA National pyramid system below step 7 are permitted to enter this competition. Teams that are of a higher grading are not. Your home ground must be within 10 miles of the WESFA Headequarters which is situated at Meridian Sports and Social Club in Charlton, SE7. The WESFA Management Committee reserve the right to permit teams that fall just outside of this criteria to be permitted to participate based on geographical inclusion. Matches are played on a Sunday morning however the Cup Final maybe an afternoon kick off. Teams outside of the WESFA membership must ensure that they seek permission from their League General Secrtetary before applying to the competition. 

The current holders of the competition are Junior Reds Seniors after their 3-1 victory over Footscray Lions in this years Final.

Applications are available upon request from the WESFA League General Secretary. The draw for the 2016-2017 competition will be held on Monday 5th September 2016 at the League General Meeting.
